The Butler County Democratic Committee…and the country…needs your help

In the wake of the turmoil of this week, and the unknowns to come, the BCDC asks that every Democrat take action to protect our democracy. Following are some steps you can take.

Use your voice

Contact Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi as well as your congressman and demand Trump’s impeachment. This prevents him from ever running for president again, and limits his pardon power. Even if you believe it’s futile, standing up for good is our responsibility.

Help amplify our message

As we’ve watched this week’s events in horror, its been helpful to know we’re not alone. Please help us reach a wider audience with these two actions:

  • Share our Facebook posts so our message can reach more people at no cost to the committee. More people need to know and act.
  • Donate to the BCDC. We have a lot of work to do, reaching voters, supporting candidates, and standing up for our community over the long term. Monthly contributions through Act Blue allow us to plan ahead, but one-time contributions are also appreciated. No amount is too small–we appreciate all support! If you prefer, contribute by check, made out to BCDC, 115 W Jefferson St., Butler, Pa, 16001.

Volunteer as a precinct committee person

Reach out to your Democratic neighbors and make sure they have all they need to vote in every election. They’ll be happy to hear from you! Learn more and, if you’re interested, submit the form on this page. Be sure to include your voting precinct if you know it.

For other volunteer options, visit the Volunteer page of our website. Be sure to share any of your experience or interests that you’d like to apply in your volunteer activities.

Run for office

Local elections are this year–the kind that decide quality-of-life issues like where development is allowed, how parks are managed, and whether students should learn at home or in school. Democrats must have a voice in these decisions. Check out the list of options in this sheet:,  If you’re interested, complete the volunteer form at and select “other” as your interest. We’ll be in touch!

The biggest threat to our democracy has come from within. We must elect people at every level of government who will respect the constitution and serve their community. Thank you for helping!
