DAY OF ACTION Daniel Smith for PA State Rep with Human Rights Campaign, Victory Fund, and Steel City Stonewall Democrats
October 17 @ 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
We’re hosting a Day of Action for Daniel Smith, candidate for House District 12! Daniel is running to bring real representation back to Butler County.
When Pete Buttigieg endorsed Daniel, he said that “Daniel’s opponent in this race is one of the most bigoted, anti-LGTBQIA+ legislators in the country,” said Buttigieg. “Another term for that incumbent is a direct threat to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s inclusiveness to all of the groups that he attacks and seeks to discriminate against on a regular basis.”
It is our duty to fire Daryl Metcalfe from the office of State Representative and vote for a candidate who won’t let politics get in the way of doing the job.
Before we start making calls, Daniel’s campaign will do a brief training to review best practices, do practice conversations, and share important campaign updates.
You can also review danielforpa.com or facebook.com/DanielforPA for more info beforehand along with the linked infosheet on policy: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OuO6lT9inVFXYKDG0iK7O125i1an4rBS/view?usp=sharing
We’re using a tool called Open VPB (Virtual Phone Bank). A link to our phonebank will be emailed to you beforehand. We are also trying to secure an autodialer for folks who are familiar with or interested in making as many contacts as possible.
Please make sure to create an Action ID Account here (https://accounts.ngpvan.com/Account/RegisterPrivate) if you don’t already have one. Open VPB shows you who you’re calling, what their phone number is, and what questions we need to ask them. If you’re having problems, you can review this Open VPB guide (https://action.dccc.org/pdf/virtual-phone-bank.pdf) or simply message the campaign!
We’ll be talking to all types of voters throughout the days: supporters who need a plan to vote or help with their mail-in ballot, undecided voters on the fence, and voters who are turned off by presidential politics, but open to a local conversation.
Thank you for helping us talk to voters, and we’ll see you on the phones!
